Cheese Kofta Curry

Servings: 3-4 people

Ingredients (Kofta) :
  • 250g Ricotta cheese
  • 2-3 table spoon flour
  • 1 tea spoon Asha Garam Masala
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1 cup oil
(Sauce) :
  • 400g/1 can of Tomato purée
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1 tea spoon Asha Garam Masala
  • 2 tablespoon Cashew-nut Paste
How to prepare Cheese Kofta Curry
  • In a bowl, combine Ricotta cheese with flour, salt, Asha Garam Masala, salt, and 2 tablespoon oil to form a thick paste
  • In a pan, add oil and once heated shallow fry the koftas on each side for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat or until they have golden-brown colour.
  • For the sauce, add tomato purée in 2 tablespoon oil and salt and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until the raw smell of tomatoes are gone.
  • Add Asha Garam Masala and cashew-nut paste and combine if well with the cooked tomato sauce.
  • Add the cheese koftas into the sauce.
  • Garnish with parsley or coriander leaves (optional) and serve hot with rice or naan/bread.
