Butter chicken

If you’ve never made butter chicken at home, here’s your chance to change that. Butter chicken is a hearty recipe that instantly puts you in a good mood.

Servings: 4 people

Ingredients:
  • 500 grams of chicken
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 400g tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • Asha Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of crème fraîche
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander/parsley leaves
How to prepare butter chicken
  • Cut the chicken into medium-sized cubes and fry in 1 tablespoon of oil on both sides until cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken and, in the same pan, sauté the onions in 2 tablespoons of oil until caramelized.
  • Add the tomato paste and tomato puree and fry until the raw tomato smell disappears.
  • In another pan, take a teaspoon of oil and heat it, add the cashew nuts and fry them until golden brown.
  • Add the cashews to the onion and tomato mixture and mix everything together.
  • Mix everything together using a hand mixer.
  • Add the Asha Garam Masala
  • Add the crème fraîche and chicken to the sauce.
  • Garnish with coriander or parsley leaves
  • Serve hot with rice.
