Ingredients:
- 2 cups of red lentils
- 6 cups of water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of Daal Masala
- 1 tablespoon of neutral oil
- ½ teaspoon of salt
How to Prepare Red Lentils with Asha Daal Masala
- Wash your lenses until the water runs clear
- In a saucepan, boil your coral lentils until they become mushy, add water depending on whether you want your daal more or less liquid.
- In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of Asha Daal Masala and heat for 30 seconds or until the spices are fragrant and bubbles start to appear.
- Add a ladleful of the lentil pan to the oil and daal masala mixture and let it sizzle for 30 seconds.
- Return the entire mixture to the pot of boiling lentils.
- Add salt to taste and serve this dish hot with rice or as is.
