Asha Chai Masala Cakes

Servings: 6-8 people

Ingredients:
  • 120ml of milk
  • 180g of flour
  • ½ sachet of yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 110g of butter
  • 125g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3 teaspoons of Asha Chai Masala
Preparation
  • Heat the milk in a saucepan. When the milk is hot, remove it from the heat, add 2 tablespoons of Asha Chai masala, and cover for 20 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix the butter without melting it, the sugar and the eggs in a second bowl.
  • Add the butter/sugar/egg mixture in 2 batches to the first bowl with the flour.
  • Stir the milk into the mixture (you can blend or strain the tea once brewed if you prefer a smooth texture).
  • Bake at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the cake.
