Ingredients:
- 150 g butter, diced and kneaded
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 8 cl warm water or milk
- 1.5 teaspoons Asha Biryani Masala
- 2 large onions
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 teaspoons honey
How to prepare the onion tart
- Preheat the oven to 210°C
- Mix the flour, salt and 1 teaspoon of Asha Biryani Masala in a bowl and add the butter to the flour, kneading lightly to form a coarse meal in 2-3 minutes.
- Then slowly add the milk or water (your choice) to incorporate the flour mixture and stir quickly.
- Roll out the dough and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Cut the onions into rings and separate all the layers.
- In a bowl, add the chopped onions, oil, 1/2 teaspoon Asha Biryani Masala and a little salt and pepper.
- Make a few holes in the pastry, spread the mustard and place the onion mixture on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 210°C.
- Mix the honey with 1/4 teaspoon Asha Biryani Masala and drizzle over the baked tart.
